The Killing fans are already circling Sun., Jun. 2 on their calendars in anticipation of the premiere of Season 3. What can viewers expect in the upcoming season? Executive Producer Veena Sud and series stars Mireille Enos (Sarah Linden), Joel Kinnaman (Stephen Holder), Peter Saarsgard (Ray Seward), Bex Taylor-Klaus (Bullet), and Max Fowler (Twitch) provide a first look at Season 3′s new case.

AMC has released the first poster for The Killing‘s third season, and the image suggests “The Killings” would be a more appropriate title this year as Holder (Joel Kinnaman) and Linden (Mireille Enos) find themselves dealing with a string of connected murders. The poster features a chilling tally of seventeen victims, and as the “and counting” tagline alludes, that number is sure to grow.

As unsettling as the image is, perhaps the most startling part is the picture of the girl shrouded in shadows. Is she the first victim? And do you think she’s meant to remind us of Rosie Larsen?

Season three will pick up one year after the resolution of the Larsen case with Linden having given up the detective game. However, her retirement won’t last long once she gets a call from her former partner, Holder, informing her that his serial killer case is connected to a case she worked in the past.

The Killing season three special two-hour premiere airs Sunday, June 2nd at 8/7c on AMC.

The “Robocop” and “Killing” star will play Neeson’s son in the action movie.

Joel Kinnaman is in final negotiations to star as Liam Neeson’s son in Warner Bros.’ crime thriller All Nighter, formerly titled Run All Night.

Jaume Collet-Serra is directing the piece, which is being produced by Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee and Energy Entertainment’s Brooklyn Weaver.

The plot concerns an aging hitman (Neeson) who is forced to take on his brutal former boss to protect his estranged son and his family.

Kinnaman will play the son who, as a chauffeur, witnesses a murder and needs to be eliminated.

All Nighter began life as a spec script by Brad Ingelsby (Out of the Furnace). With casting shaping up, it’s looking at a fall production start.

Kinnaman is coming off a starring turn in MGM’s remake of Robocop, which wrapped shooting earlier this year. He is reprising his breakout role as a police detective for the third season of AMC’s thriller The Killing.

Kinnaman is repped by UTA, Magnolia Entertainment and Hansen Jacobson.
